Springboard Meditation Sangha (SMS) is a safe and welcoming meditation community (sangha) that intends to support the deepening of individual practice and to awaken mindfulness and compassion for the benefit of all beings.
The sangha was established to provide a nondenominational meditation space, oriented to Buddhist practitioners, but welcoming anyone wanting to practice meditation in community.
The Springboard sangha originated in Philadelphia's Mt. Airy neighborhood, but currently practices mainly online. It hosts 9 silent meditation periods throughout the week - all free and open to the public.
Springboard Meditation Sangha was incorporated in 2011, as a lay non-profit Buddhist organization (501c3) with Brian Arnell as the Senior Teacher.
